How to Build Self-Confidence – 3 Tips

If you are wondering how to build self-confidence, you are in the right place. In this article I'll share with you three tips that will tremendously help you work on your self-assurance. Here they are!

1. Do it step by step

As Lao-Tzu said, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Instead of trying to do everything at once, start with one single step. Build your self-confidence step by step, piece by piece.

How to take the first step? Make a list of all your insecurities. Whether it's feeling insecure while speaking with pretty women, being afraid of public speaking or saying no, note it all down.

Now that you know what your insecurities are, it's time to take the first step. Your first step is to pick just one insecure (preferably the largest one) and eliminate it. And to do that you have to …

2. Face your fears

I will not lie to you – if you want to build your self-confidence, you have to face your fears and it will be painful. Not only that – it will make you feel nervous, stressed, frustrated. However, no pain, no gain, right?

Confident people are confident because they faced their fears and pushed their limits. You have to do the same – to get rid of your insecurities you have to face them. It's called "expanding your comfort zone". Are you afraid of public speaking? Well, if you want to become confident, it's time you started doing it as often as possible. Afraid of pretty women? Start meeting with them. Face your fears!

I know, improving your confidence it's an easy task. However I know how badly you want it. Do not disappoint yourself – never ever give up until you reach your goal and become a self-confident person. To make your journey easier, here are a few things that you can do to stay on track:

– motivate yourself by watching inspiring movies and listening to positive music;

– reward yourself when you've accomplished a mini-goal;

– get help from other people (it might be a good idea to work on your confidence with a friend who also wants to become self-confident).

Remember: never ever give up – you'll make it!

All of the tips above will be very useful on your journey towards complete self-confidence (of course if you put them to use!). Just remember to practice on a daily basis and work not only on building your self-confidence, but also improving yourself in general. The better person you are, the more self-assured you'll feel.
